I was reminded during my time of prayer and devotion that anything can be forgiven, but not everything can not be undone. The gentle message is that we must choose to be careful how we handle people in thoughts words and deed.
Our handling of the people that God has divinely chosen to cross our path or place in our lives is a reflection of how we are handling God. Loving Christ teaches us that Loving others is organically bound to Loving God. This is not written as a litany, but a reminder of the truth that really does keep us free. So my prayer for you as well as myself is that we learn to see the divinity in each other.
Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 1 John 4:20
Lord, I thank you that your word does not change, 2 chronicles 19 reminds us that the charge of those who handel your word is to regulate the affairs of this earth with truth and we know by Christ’s representation, that it ultimately is with Love.
So today, let us hang our hat on your Grace and our future on your Mercy, not just for ourselves but as an intercession for those that you bring into our midst. Amen
